The Goddess Night Collection

The Goddess Night Collection is inspired by a find from the Oseberg ship burial, a well-preserved Viking Age burial mound at Oseberg farm in Norway. The well-preserved and lavishly decorated ship, dated 834 AD, held the remains of two women along with a wide array of accompanying grave goods. The ship also included a richly carved four-wheel wooden cart. Since the goddess Night is mentioned as having a cart of her own, this design is inspired by a detail on the carriage belonging to the prominent Viking Age women from the Oseberg burial site. The iron fitting around the outer end of the shaft holding the wheel in place on the Oseberg cart has a similar shape as the Goddess Night jewelry design. Its beautiful shape, resembles what Swedish designer Åsa Trulsson imagnes our modern gender symbols (♀♂) would look like if we merged them together, a symbol of a strong collaboration in balance and symbiosis. Åsa invites you to celebrate your unique purpose through the goddess Night's collection of jewelry and exclusive silk scarves.
